The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new. ~Rajneesh

just what is madre e hijas?

December 10, 2008

In trying to come up with a theme for this pent-up dream, I just know that it requires 100% honesty and 100% comfortability for it to be truly meaningful to me and hopefully, for the future contributors to this cyber niche

thus, I cannot go beyond what is not me. that I know much.

my pent up dream shaped up as I was feeling so excited for our day tour on December 20 to Corregidor Island via Sun Cruises - just Chelle and I will be together, this time. It’s my Christmas 2008 gift for her. At this time, I know it doesn’t sound much for her but I’m hoping that later on, no matter how much later, she will see the wisdom and importance of this trip.

It’s within this excitement to be going on this tour with her that I came up with the idea that my  dream “blog” will be something I share with her and Bea. It’s a dream project. I felt that I will be embarking on an impossible task of sharing with her my love for words - reading and writing as well as my fascination with internet technology and computers. It’s a gigantic task, no doubt, but I know I just gotta start this somehow.

Begin with the end in mind, eh?

All the more inspired I became when sharing this idea with hubby Tim, he concluded without much prodding, that yes, it’s a good idea. Err, I think it’s a brilliant idea! teehee!

So now just what is it? Well, madre e hijas in simple English translation is “mother and daughters.”

This is my cyber niche which I’m hoping to share with my daughters. It will feature our past and future travels, events, books, current interests, raves, rants and everything under the sun, even the sun itself - the catch is that I will not only be the one blogging about these things but slowly and painstakingly, let Chelle and Bea have their say on them.

Their two cents worth.

I would love to know their thoughts, points of view and the teacher in me hopes to develop in them a deep love for words. It’s a pseudo-portfolio of our life together from this day henceforth - BUT definitely, reminiscences of turned pages of our lives will also have their special nooks here then and now.

Welcome to our world.
